Jamie Foxx - awesome!

Kris - sweet, cute, sexy - he's a keeper! But he may be in trouble this week.

Allison - she is beautiful and her voice has such depth and maturity for her age - she may just be 17 but she is an old soul - Simon is trying to keep her by making a negative comment - he knows that ppl vote more if he does that.

Matt - this is the first time I got chills listening to him - the first 1/3 of the song was the best - and I did hear the pitch problems - but they aren't as bad if he sings it straight - I think he falls flat when he tries to do the runs... Maybe just personal preference

Danny - wow! He looks hott tonight! Real rat pack look. I see the emotion on his face - OMG the end of that song was the bomb! He built that up right to the end! Bam!
I said last wk that he needed to bring it and he did!

Adam 'Glambert' - he is a performer - I'm still not sure why he would want to win this competion - I think it would hamper him artistically. This was the one time, other than country music wk, that I'm not feeling it for him.

Let's start off singing! Except that we had to start with...

Lil - 'I'm Every Woman' - she put herself back in the box Simon handed her. Her pitch was soooo off! All over the place and the judges are harsh but keepin' it real. The negative comments could work in her favor tho.

Kris - 'she works hard for the money' - oh honey if you just stay out of the crowd of clapping robots, you perform like a pro! Paula's comment cracking me up!

Danny - 'September' - he's trying the DC trick of not shaving - might be hotter if he lost the glasses - I thought it was a good performance. Solid. Agree with Kara about the pitch - love the gravelly voice.

Allison - 'Hot stuff' - woohoo look at her! She looks like a rock star and really sounds like one. She is on fire! Love the shoes!!!

Adam - 'If I can't have you' - he has a beautiful voice. Everyone knows that he will be in the finale.

Matt - 'stayin' alive' - the lyric "I'm goin' nowhere" is applicable here - he's going nowhere in this competition. Boring version of a great dance song. How did that happen? Still think he could go, depending on what Anoop does.

Anoop - 'dim all the lights' he wore his Easter outfit, awww... And someone shaped his eyebrows, finally! The voice was great. Arrangement is boring.

Here's my ranking:

7. Lil
6. Matt
5. Anoop
4. Danny
3. Allison
2. Adam
1. Kris

CNN || Man kills family, self in Maryland town, authorities say

Obvious quote of the day:
"There is some indication in at least one of the notes that there might have been some psychological issues with Mr. Wood," Jenkins said

There might have been some psychological issues. Really?

CNN || White House tries to combat drug demand with rehab

I'm glad to see that the 'war on drugs' has plans to incorporate more treatment. But, drug courts won't work if there aren't sufficient funds for the actual rehab services. They should also address in funding treatment, the vast majority of people with addictions also have a co-occurring mental illness. Most of the people I see in therapy who have or had drug problems have experienced significant trauma in their lives. The drugs numb those feelings and people don't have to 'think' about the pain. I hope that the new drug czar can see how these problems are linked and hopefully not just give money to a few 'token' programs or create more unfunded mandates. I'll step off the soap box now...

Quentin Tarantino - can he sing?
Simon, running out of time - that's what you get for adding a 4th, unneccesary judge.

Allison - "don't wanna miss a thing" DC did this one last year. Am I the only who doesn't like this song? Did she flub on the words? Dang, that girl can sing! You go girl!

Anoop - "everything I do (I do it for you)" why do they keep putting him in the 'Collegate' wear? That was the best performance he has had to date. He killed that song! 2 good weeks in a row!

Adam - "born to be wild" have I said that he is a *performer*? Over the top at the end - a bit. Are we at an Adam Lambert concert?

Matt - "have you really ever loved a woman" was that a little tear in his eye? Randy 'for me for you' - you kill me. Not one of Matt's best but not his worst. But if everyone else does well, I fear for his future.

Danny - "endless love" He took the glasses off! He is showing the emotion - he needs to keep the glasses off. I agree with Simon, tho, it was on the boring side

Kris - he is so sweet and sexy - understated but powerful.

Lil - "the rose" oh no, she gave in to the wedding singer - she will get that from Simon. She's so boring. And off key. Yawn.

Here's my order for the night:
1. Allison
2. Kris
3. Adam
4. Danny
5. Anoop
6. Matt
7. Lil

Now that we have fewer contestants, I'll make a more comments about them

6. Danny -"stand by me" a little boring until the end. He's going to have to be more entertaining than Adam and more crazysexycool than Kris to win the whole thing 01

5. Kris - "all she wants to do" he is hottt!! I am sooo not on the same page as the judges. I don't like how they put him in the middle of the crowd. I liked the funky version of the song 02

8. Lil - "what's love got to do with it" - I think she's just a screamer when it comes to the high notes. When she breaks it down, that's her best parts of the song. How can you take on Tina? She didn't do anything different with the song - strangely, I agree with Paula, and after the rest of the feedback, I think she's in trouble 03

4. Anoop - "true colors" I got a little chill - he sang beautifully. He's the 'Boys to men' type R and B artist - I can hear him harmonizing with 2 or 3 others with the whole ballad deal. I like how Simon gave him permission to have a bit of a 'tude. 04

7. Scott - "living for a dream" dude, he is weird! That video... Interesting him playing a guitar. But he's no rock star. That was a big song for him. He seemed uncomfortable but he gets props for thinking outside the box. 05

2. Allison - "I can't make you love me" she is the best! She is a bad bad girl with a huge voice. She pulled it down to a ballad and really did great. If she is in the bottom 3 again I will cry foul! 06

3. Matt - "part time lovers" - much better than last week. I want to hear more scat from him! I really liked that part of the song. He showed who he is and did something in his comfort zone - but he hit it! 07

1. Adam -surprise, he gets the pimp spot again! "Mad world" He is an entertainer. Plain, simple. The light, the chair and him singing. Pure entertainment. 08

I'm starting to greatly dislike Kara. She has ridiculous feedback. I would not have apologized to her because I thought the same thing.

The reason why Kutner died

'House' actor explains shocking decisionWhen Dr. Lawrence Kutner killed himself on the latest episode of "House: MD," it was the beginning of a new career for actor Kal Penn. The demise of Penn's character cleared the way for the actor to move on to another "House," the White House.Penn, 31, will be an associate director for the Obama administration's Office of Public Liaison."It seemed like something I would enjoy doing," Penn said. "I figured it was something to do."He's not retiring from acting, just pursuing a longtime desire for public service that was rekindled when he campaigned for Barack Obama's election, Penn said.Penn played a teen terrorist on Fox's "24" before joining the network's "House" two years ago. He's also known as Kumar Patel in the "Harold & Kumar" movie series. The White House job likely ends his Kumar roles, he said. In fact, he will not consider any acting jobs until he leaves the Obama administration, he said.Penn will take a big pay cut to work for the government, but he has committed to at least one or two years in the job, he said. His focus will be as a liaison for the arts community and the Asian-American community, he said. He filled a similar role in the Obama presidential campaign, he said."We want to make sure that everyone's concerns are heard and they are familiar with the president's plans and proposals," he said.Penn said he spoke briefly with Obama after the election about "trying to find the right fit" for him in the administration. He said he has bittersweet emotions as he leaves Hollywood to search for an apartment in Washington next week. The writers' decision to have Dr. Kutner commit suicide ensures Penn will not return to the show, although he said he leaves on good terms. He felt "more than a little bit of shock and loss" to learn that his character would die in his final episode.Even though he spoke no lines in the episode -- and only his legs are seen when his body is found -- he was on the set for the filming, he said
