Ok, well I guess people do still read me! thanks my pals!

Recent update: about a month ago, the boys' daycare closed. They were going to a home daycare, highly recommended, and we loved it. They were there for exactly a year and the owner decided to make a life change and close down. I can't blame her for it; 22 years with no benefits, no retirement, and she was offered a job where she could have those things. Too bad she chose to go to a child devel. center at a local hospital, open only to hospital employees :(. we miss you Ms. Tammy!
So we found a new daycare, quickly! It is a center, but it is small with only about 50 children total. The boys love their new teachers, and we even ran into one tonight, moonlighting at a local restaurant. So that was the most recent hurdle we've had.

Aidan and Cole now enjoy singing their little hearts out. Aidan's favorite is to sing a part of "Twinkle Little Star." He will sing, "Twinkle, wike a diamon in da sky!" He will often sing this over and over and over again. Cole likes to sing the ABC's, but usually only the "W X Y and Z" ... repeatedly, louder and louder. It seems that these days, repetition is the thing.

This evening, Cory went to the UT/ Fla game with a friend, and the three of us went to my mom's. I told them we would go to gigi's house, and Aidan then followed me around the house while I was getting ready saying "I want to go to gigi's house." I tried to affirm him and repeatedly tell him that as soon as mommmy finishes this or this we will go. over and over and over. It will literally wear you down.

In other news, my fondest memories from high school have resurfaced in a website. Let me preface this by saying I hated high school. I liked class, I loved to learn, but the social aspect of my school was not fun. My "group" was my chorus, and we had a special bond. We were the Halls High School Madrigal Singers, led by Allan Hoke. We rehearsed Christmas music from August to November. We performed almost every night from Thanksgiving to Christmas break. We dressed up in long flowing dresses, hats, gaudy jewelry, men in tights. We sang acappella 4-8 part harmonies with bell tone chords ending our songs. We sang Carol of the Bells hundreds of times a year. We took trips in the spring with long bus rides to compete with choirs from all over the country. We competed in Festival chorus where a score of a 1 was the expectation. This, my friends, is the ONLY thing I miss about high school. Halls Madrigals.

I have to say, I agree with you. There are a few people I miss that weren't in Madrigals, but by and large, it was what got me through high school without losing my mind. Glad to see you on hallsmadrigals.com!

I do so miss getting to hear you sing. I miss the General Admission/Chamber singers concerts, and picking out your voice.

Glad you found a new place for the boys without too much trouble, and I bet they're wooing all the ladies at day care.
